We had a great stay at this hotel. The location was good, easy access to the metro, buses and even a JR station if you're willing to walk a bit more. The building is in a quiet residential area so you can enjoy a bit of the real Kyoto away from the touristic areas. All rooms are smoke free and I really appreciated that as an asthmatic person. We had plenty of space, comfy beds and even a table with chairs. You cannot open the windows so you need to set the A/C to your liking and it might get a bit stuffy inside. Additional towels and amenities were provided at the entrance. There are 2 wash-dry machines available in case you need to do some laundry. We were able to leave our bags there before the check-in as they provide locks in the lobby.

Place feels very new (as of July 2025), nice and neat when we checked in. Bathroom /toilet has everything we need, all fixtures look brand new. Location is not too bad, but the first time we took a tiring long walk with full luggage under the rain cos we chose the wrong (slightly further) subway station to come out of. Should have used Nijojo Mae Station instead of Nijo Station. There's a sheltered shopping street nearby, where all the usual restaurants and grocery stores can be found. Staff was friendly, check-in was smooth. Entry at main lobby and rooms are by security codes, so no need to carry any key along.

Stayed here for 3 nights. A very nice smaller hotel, with pin code to open the front door and your room door as well. The room have what you need, fridge, tv, good wifi, nice cosy bed and decent size bathroom. At the reception there is a microwave to heat up your food, washing machine and smoking area. About 5 min walk to the nearest bus stop which you can take to get to the central parts of Kyoto. For the price, this is a very good accommodation.

Good stay in Kyoto. A bit further away from the more touristic spots, but with plenty to do close by still. Rooms were small but cozy, not excessive small. Lots of shops close by for breakfast before you start your day or dinner before coming back to the hotel, including a super market.

hotel location was near the train station. it is also walking distance to nishiki etc if you are keen on walking to explore. wonderful eateries around the area and places to explore. i love the neighborhood market just few minutes walk from the hotel. many things are automated, so you dont need to liase too much with the staff if you are unable to converse. the room was spacious and to my liking!

- It is very close to Nijojo-mae Station on the Tozai Subway Line and a 10-minute walk to JR Shijo Omiya Station. It is also close to Horikawa-oike bus stop, which is very convenient to Kiyomizudera Temple, Yasaka Shrine, Hanami-koji, Nishiki Market, and Shijo Kawaramachi (Kyoto downtown area) by bus. - Self-service check-in and check-out is available, so keep the hotel password and room password provided by e-mail, and if you have any problems checking out, you can use the front desk phone to contact the hotel staff.

Very convenient self check-in/out process. The hotel had a laundry and smoking room which we found very useful. The room had enough wardrobe space to fit all the clothes for 2 people!

Location is excellent. Close to public transport and attractions. The staff were excellent too. Very helpful and always someone around when I needed someone. The washing/dryer was very convenient. But there were only 2. Thankfully they were free both times we went to use them.
